We are pleased to inform you of the publication of the 'NIAID Addendum Guidelines for the Prevention of Peanut Allergy' for the United States and Canada. It is available for Free Download from the AACI Journal. Available here »

The Report of the NIAID-Sponsored Expert Panel was developed to build on previous food allergy guidelines after several key studies, especially the LEAP study, demonstrated the benefit of early introduction of allergenic foods.

We commend the authors of the Guidelines, especially Dr. Edmond Chan of Vancouver, BC for their hard work in putting this together. These Guideline recommendations have been endorsed by the Canadian Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (CSACI) and have great relevance to Canadian practitioners.

At the top of the Website you will also find a link to a CSACI Editorial written expressly for physicians (both in Canada and abroad) that attempts to further simplify and clarify the new Peanut Introduction Guidelines or you can find link here »
