CAAIF’s mission is to fund and support research in allergy, asthma, anaphylaxis, and immunology to improve the health of Canadians.

CAAIF’s Vision:
To fund cutting edge research towards a cure for allergy.
One foundation, One goal: Live life with no allergies!

Grants and Fellowships:

CAAIF achieves its mission is by awarded research grants and research fellowships to independent investigator and trainees respectively.

CAAIF has a long history of offering grants to assist investigators working in all research areas relevant to Clinical Immunology and Allergy. Currently the grants are fairl y small and better suited to help investigators initiate new research projects or help junior investigators jump start their research career. However, there are no limitations in the content of the grants that can cover any of the four research pillars of CIHR.

CAAIF grant competitions are announced once a year with deadlines for application submission usually around the beginning of a calendar year and funding starting in the summer of the same year. The competition is open to independent investigator in Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

Competitions for fellowships are also offered, but not at set times. Fellowships are addressed to clinical fellows that want to do extra research training or to trainees that want to do postdoctoral training after their PhD studies. Area of study is usually open and covers all areas of Clinical Immunology and Allergy.

Please check the CAAIF website (www.allergyfoundation.ca) for updates and for upcoming competitions.
